OEA Grants

OEA Academic Grants are awarded to people interested in doing graduate study: master’s, doctorate, and graduate research conducive to a degree in a higher education institution or university in any OEA member state, with the exception of their sponsoring country. Studies will be full time and either presential, distance, or a combination of both.
Grants are awarded for a period of no longer than two academic years. They are dependent on the continued availability of funds in the OEA Grant Program, the student’s good performance during the first year of the grant, and the confirmation by the academic institution that renewal for the second year is necessary to complete the program of studies or research for which the grant was awarded.
OEA grants have a monetary limit of US $15,000.00 per academic year and include the following benefits:
    • Return flight
    • Registration and all obligatory charges
    • Complementary monthly subsistence
    • Health insurance
    • Annual stipend for books
Benefits for grantees will be determined on a case by case basis.
